Perks and Allowances

As per the orders for non executives, perks and allowances will be paid as per existing regulatory conditions applicable with effect from 07 05 10.


As per record of discussions vide letter no. BSNL/7-7/SR/2010 dt 09 04 10.
On the demand of the unions for effecting payment of allowances and perks from the date of signing of wage committee's recommendations, it was explained that as per the committee's recommendations the payment is with effect from the date of signing of wage agreement and the same stands approved by the BSNL Board.
However keeping the demand of unions, case for effecting payment from the date of board's approval will be considered. Unions demanded from the date of committee's recommendations. Management side stated that effort will be made to convince the Board about this demand also.


Whether the demand was raised by BSNLEU while signing the agreement on 07 05 10?
Why the management side has not taken efforts to convince the board?
Whether the BSNLEU pressed the management and the board to discuss this issue in favour of employees.

Who is the real loser?Is it employees only? 
If the agreement is signed earlier, many would have got benefits  in Cycle Maintenance allowance,Cash handling allowance,Escort allowance ,Special compensatory allowance and other allowances. 

If the agreement had been signed earlier rather than on 07 05 10,lakhs and lakhs employees would have been benefitted.
