"TTSL's revenue is not showing growth at par with its subscriber addition because the tariff has touched rock bottom. Revenue is driven by the tariff and minutes of usage (MOU). When tariff has fallen down, MOU has to complement the growth. But, it did not happen because TTSL's new tariff plan has attracted low ARPU customers having a low disposable income," says Neeraj Jain, director, KPMG Advisory. "Any new tariff plan also attracts the existing customers of an operator who migrate to the new plan leading to a negative drag in the revenue," he adds.
Our comments: Any private operator may be no. 1 in terms of subscribers. What about revenue . Read the above article. More users. They thought that addition of more subscribers will bring in more revenue in earlier stages. The operator added low users resulting more subscribers, low returns. BSNL's worry to tap the market,enrol more customers, provide good service. earn revenue for BSNL. The phenomenon of more subscribers for a company will earn more revenue is not so. So we have to concentrate on customer satisfaction. To retain a customer, we have to work hard. But we can lose it in a second.
