PLI against choosing procedure for BSNL/MTNL CMD-from SNEA

Association, along with Telecom watchdog, a renowned NGO in Telecom sector, today i.e on 27th October filed a Public Interest Litigation(PIL) in the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi challenging the arbitrary and malafide selection of CMDs of BSNL/MTNL on the ground that selection process has been exclusively restricted to ITS and best talent from the market has been completely excluded from the zone of selection process, in total defiance of the mandate of Prime Minister to induct best talent from within and outside to lead these strategic state owned Telecom PSUs. c.     Issue such other writ, direction or order, which this Hon’ble court may deem fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case.
The case has been filed and will be pleaded on behalf of the petitioners by eminent Civil Liberties Advocate, Shri Prashant Bhushan. Cabinet Secretary (Union of India) and Secretary DOT , are the respondents in the petition. The PIL is expected to be listed for admission within a couple of days.
