7th september strike --- a grand success
Today's strike called by INTUC and other CTUs to check price rise, protection of employment and also to protest against the disinvestment and antilabour policies of centre and state governments is a grand success, reports received from all over the country. In BSNL the success of the strike is spectacular. The success rate is more than 75% in most of the circles. We have received reports from the circle secretaries and the district secretaries of Tamilnadu, Bihar,Kerala, Karnataka, maharashtra, Madhyapradesh etc over the success of the strike. Apart from the general issues notified by INTUC, FNTO had focussed on BSNL staff issues which are one of the important reasons for the success of the strike in BSNL. FNTO congratulates all the workers who participated in the strike braving the wage cut so as to strengthen the hands of FNTO and INTUC.
