- It is unfortunate that no result has come out of the two day strike which was expected as the timing of the strike was inappropriate. The leadership of FNTO should not simply endorse the communist's agenda of thrusting an unwanted strike on the employees V.VENKATASUBRAMANIAN
- Gone are those days when governments feared the repercussions of a strike. There are two reasons for this situation and they are related somewhat.
First reason is governments of today are pretty lackadaisical and do not act until situation is dire. The current strike is not dire because BSNL is not a monopoly. Unions should recognize this.
What is hard for me to understand is why does the union leadership oppose a VRS? what in the name VRS they cannot understand? It is voluntary. BSNL & MTNL are currently staffed for 1980/90s technology.
This strike will only accelerate the customer exodus from BSNL/MTNL. - Leaders without Followers...
For any action involving the workforce of the counry, it is imperative to have Referendum as it not only affects their service prospective but the customers and country as a whole.
The actual figure of strikers can only be known if the figures are sought for under RTI as the Unions claims are always boastful.
When the strikers figures is less, JAC can not expct the Management to budge from its committed stand.
Just to have settement, it is done without securing any thing materally.
Sitting in JAC and thowing muds on each other in web, reflects the moral of workforce.
However, the striker is deferred and in view of impending membership verifiction the chances of its renotification in near future are remote.
