Thomas John President and K.Vallinayagam General Secretary, FNTO participated in the UNI 3rd World Congress held at Nagasaki Japan from Nov 9th to 12th, 2010. Above 2200 graduates and visitors attended the conference from 87 countries. The historic conference discussed organizing UNI breaking all the barriers, nuclear disarmament, jobs and justice, freedom from fear on attack on human rights trade union rights, world peace etc.
Several motions on the above subject were also adopted.
Sri JSR Prasad, Circle President FNTO-AP / National Director UNI India, Sri.Raman Pandey General Secretary INTUC West Bengal and 20 delegates from various sectors attended the conference from India.
Bro. Phillip Jennings re-elected as GS UNI. Shri Miland Natkarni (Banking) and Sri. D. Thiagarajan (Postal) are nominated to world executive.
Japan affiliates of UNI had organized the conference in an exemplary manner. Their hospitality and services will be remembered for ever. Next World Conference will be held in Cape Town African region.
