Chq news

Shri  A. Raja has resigned as MOC and handed over his resignation letter to Hon’ble PM on 14th November, 2010 night, in the wake of Supreme Court hearing on 2G Spectrum Allotment Issue.

Tenure of Shri A. Raja as Telecom Minister will be remembered for his positive decisions on granting of check off facility to BSNL Unions, 50% IDA Merger for BSNL Workers and many pro-worker decisions. He facilitated the increase of tele-density in the country as well as steep reeducation in telecom service charges which were beneficial to people. On our special request, Shri A. Raja was pursuing revision of Pension for pre.01./01.2007 BSNL Retirees and the same is likely to be cleared by the Cabinet in the near future.

FNTO thank him for all pro-worker decisions. During his period the staff relations were extreme good.
