MP cares for development of BSNL

Dimapur, July 4 (MExN): Member of Lok Sabha CM Chang today sought from the BSNL revocation of the one-year tenure for officers of the telecom service provider and restoration of the earlier tenure. The MP has observed that the mobile service in Nagaland has deteriorated “like anything.” Officers are “overjoyed with one year tenure and the network is sleeping and always showing connection error, network busy etc” Chang said.
The MP took cognizance that the tenure of BSNL officers posted in Nagaland has recently been reduced from two years to one year. The change has begun affecting the BSNL’s services, Chang said. The MP addressed a letter to “Raja ji” (A Raja) central Minister of Communications and IT.
“As BSNL is a public sector undertaking of the Government of India, the public has the right to know why the BSNL which is often called the people's company is not living up to the expectation of the people,” the MP stated.

Our comments: It is true that some officers posted at tenure stations want to come back to the original place of work and or to  posting choice of the station.  As MP has observed, progress in works get stalled due to sudden transfer of officers.  One officer would have drawn a programme  but the other officer who joins after him must  continue his efforts. If he goes for another programme of action, progress in that plan will be stopped and it will take some months to go for  another programme. So sanctioned works get dealyed. This is good for thought. Otherwise, officers who go on transfer must see that earlier programmes must be followed, implemented for growth of BSNL.
