78.2% IDA

It is understood that DoT has sought some clarifications regarding fitment formula of 78.2% IDA -i.e 100% neutralisation of IDA when wage revision  is due for BSNL employees. The recognised union has agreed for 68.8 %IDA  in their recommendations. But FNTO has pointed out stating DPE guidelines that 78.2% IDA should be given for BSNL employees . Read the copy of the letter dt 05 03 10 addressed to the Communications Minister by our General Secretary.

No.4/NU/CHQ/10                                                                          dated March 5th, 2010.

To;
Shri Thiru A. Raja,
Minister for Communication & IT.
Sanchar Bhawan,
Ashoka Road, New Delhi 110001.

Sir:
Sub: Request to expedite the Pension Revision Process for pre.01.01.2007 Pensioners.

In continuation of our various representations to authorities and to H.M. (C), we once again draw your kind attention as it is irritating the minds of BSNL. Pensioners who are suffering heavily in these hard days of high price rise.
.
  1. Since the 2nd Wage Revision process has been over and considered by management committee, we request you to kindly cause simultaneous orders for issuance of orders for Pension Revision for all the BSNL Pensioners irrespective of their date of retirement as the case is being forwarded to the Secretary, DoT for according o his approval.

  1.  We wish that the required approval is given for the BSNL Workers as well as the BSNL Pensioners without any discrimination with regard to date of retirement.

  1. (a)        Though the orders for 78.2% IDA merger has been issued by DPE for its uniform application, the BSNL Management/Representative Unions have signed agreement for 68.8% IDA Merger on 15.01.2010.
 (b)        This created a vacuum of 10%, as the DPE orders are issued for all the PSUs    whose 78.2% IDA has been merged in basic pay for wage revision purpose.
(c)        In absence of 78.2 % IDA merger for PSUs employees as provided by the DPE   guidelines, we request you to kindly cause issuance of separate orders by DPA for New IDA to remove the injustice. (Detailed note enclosed herewith for ready reference).

With regards,
Yours Sincerely,
(K. Vallinayagam)
Encls.1.                                                                                                      General Secretary.
