BSNL to observe ‘Customer Delight Month'

NELLORE: Employees affiliated to various unions of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) have joined hands to provide better services to customers and strengthen the company in Nellore district.
Members of eight unions formed a Joint Action Committee (JAC) to redress the problems of BSNL customers. The JAC will tour the district and check the quality of services relating to landline, mobile phones, broadband, billing, punctuality and maintenance of Base Terminal Stations (BTS).
Speaking to newsmen here on Friday, BSNL Nellore telecom district General Manager G. Gopi said the JAC would observe ‘Customer Delight Month' from May 1 to 31, and the staff would undertake door-to-door visits in all the divisions to know and rectify the problems.
Focus areas
The employees would focus on zero landline, broadband, leased and BTS faults. They would also interact with customers and explain about the GPR system and the schemes being implemented by BSNL. The functioning of Customer Service Centres would also be checked during the month, said Mr. Gopi.
Deputy General Manager (Finance) B.Raja Shekar, DGM (CFA) K. Prasada Rao, AGM (Sales) Markonda Reddy, All-India BSNL Executives Association Nellore district secretary C. J. Shanmugam, Sanchar Nigam Executives Association representative G. Gurunadham, BSNL Employees Union district president V. Mastanaiah, secretary Shiva Shankar Reddy and others were present.
