Gurudas Kamat visits ITI |

Agencies Bangalore, Apr 15: Union Minister of state for home affairs and communications and IT, Gurudas Kamat has assured all help from the government to the ailing public sector telecom major ITI in its turnaround endeavour. Mr Kamat who visited the ITI facilities here recently had appreciated the efforts taken by the company to draw up a new road map of business through diversification and consolidation, ITI said in a release here today. He said ITI now has clean balance sheet. He assured all possible help of the Government to ITI in its endeavor to turn around. ITI should be able to do better in coming months, he added. The ITI Management made a presentation on the company’s activities and future plans to the Minister. ITI Chairman and Managing Director K L Dhingra thanked the Minister and the Department of Telecom (DoT) for supporting ITI Limited from time to time. He also spoke about the performance of the company and its future plans. He explained how its losses have come down in last few months. |
