09.08.2010:DISPUTE IN THE MATTER OF PAY FIXATION IN CASE OF GROUP B OFFICERS WHO OPTED FOR IDA PAY SCALE FROM THE DATE OF PROMOTION WHICH HAPPENED TO BE AFTER 1.10.2000 RESULTING IN REDUCTION OF PENSION: The retired absorbed Group B Officers who had opted to retain the CDA pay scale till their promotion and then switch over to IDA pay scale as per one of the terms and conditions for absorption in BSNL have been receiving reduced pension due to arbitrary action by many CCAs who did not allow the pay fixation benefit already earned by them while in service. In some cases, even part of DCRG payment was withheld. The matter was being pursued with BSNL and DOT for a long time. There had been litigation on the matter also. DOT has examined the matter in consultation with Department of Public Enterprises and Ministry of Finance. It is expected that DOT may shortly issue clarification/guidelines in regard to methodology of fixation of pay in respect of the above case.: AIBSNLREA Web.
