Poor BSNL GSM services at Pune: Print media highlights the issue:  The print media has taken a serious note of poor BSNL mobile services in the Pune city and strongly criticized on it. Call disconnection, Nos unreachable, cross connection, echo and many other complaints are being received, but none of the senior officers in mobile bothers or comes forward for the clarification. When association took initiative to find the facts, they were told that there are serious problems in the mobile switch. All the software patch loading works are being done on permutation and combination basis by the vendors resulting to more failures of services. The association also found that most of the land line Nos and mobiles of mobile wing are not answered. The blame game continues for the mobile wing that most of the BTS are faulty and this is the job of SSA to repair it. There is lot of mess in communication and misunderstanding between the mobile wing and SSA’s, whereas the subscriber gets shuttled from pillar to post and finally surrenders the connection saying bye bye to BSNL services. The mobile services are completely vendor driven and even the executives working there are unaware of what are happenings in the switches’. It is also found that there are no systems for check and counterchecks for the employees and senior officers working in mobiles thus have completely anarchy in the system. The work culture is neither government nor corporate type; neither the responsibility is fixed for any misdeed.

Our comments: Union leaders and staff pl. take note of this article. If this is happening in your area, pl. report to JAC for taking joint action to save BSNL to minimise the loss. If BSNL loss mounts, we will be facing lot of difficulties to receive our salary in course of time. Be alert and see forces which are detrimental to our growth and our survival must be defeated at any cost to save BSNL,BSNL family and also the nation.
